Editorial Illustrations

Flat vector illustrations were all the rage. Working in editorial allowed me to explore concepts and approaches from a variety of different angles. In this exploration of works created in 2015 I used flat vector style artworks and illustrated a body of work depicting various images and representations in my life and or experiences as a freelance editorial illustrator.

What is a vector illustration?

A vector illustration is based on the mathematics of analytic or coordinate geometry. Unlike raster graphics, which create a picture by describing areas of discrete color within a finite resolution grid, vector graphics describe geometric objects in terms of mathematical formulae and other parameters. Vectors can be scaled to any size without loss of resolution or quality.
