    As first designer a large part of my presence has been defining design for Spreedly and providing skills to assist the company with communication design, user experience design, front-end development, and illustration while acting as a voice for users and an advocate for user centered design. Working closely in a fast-paced environment communicating with stakeholders I've assisted in the creation of consistent brand experiences, development of new products feature ideas, shipment of new products and features, design research, user testing, and performance analysis.

    Part of my experience at Spreedly has given me exposure to sophisticated software development life-cycles, development languages and frameworks such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and Phoenix. I've also been fortunate to be exposed to a SaaS based business with an API as its core product.

    Since joining Spreedly I've added additional value to the business by taking part in rapid prototyping and development of new internal and external facing products, helping them move faster with marketing and promotional efforts, plus reduce operating costs by accepting new roles and responsibilities as they come up enabling the company to stay focused on growth and profitability.

    Worked closely with the Creative Director developing improvements to the current work-flow and design life cycle. Worked with Engineering in the development of Smart TV applications and provided assistance to quality assurance in the testing of applications during the development cycle.

    December 2011 - February 2016

    Held several roles and a variety of responsibilities for HCI and it's individual companies. Majority of my time was spent as Art Director of Counselor magazine handling from start-to-finish the design and layout of each bi-monthly issue. I also assisted the company with my creative services by developing marketing/sales collateral, creating book cover designs, illustrations for interior pages or managing day-to-day tasks associated with this position and role within the organization.

    Part of my responsibilities involved working with the different departments, directors, senior management, C level executives, or President of the corporation. Due to the encompassing nature of this role projects allowed for significant exposure to Waterfall and Kanban project management methods. Additional tasks included data and file management, job creation, project management, communication with stakeholders, seeking feedback, and performing iterations to designs.

    The organization saw a significant improvements of its products which played a role in areas of growth and expansion such as re-tapping into cut off revenue streams with the national distribution of Counselor magazine, the acquisition of Renew magazine, an extremely large reduction in production costs with the implementation of new digital work-flows, and savings with outside vendors due to negotiations.
